Resolved Question: Will it be a hard adjustment for someone who lives in upstate NY to Adjust to Utah (Salt Lake City area)?

I'm deciding to move from northern New York to a area around Salt Lake City Utah. I see it exciting in the fact that the weather is similar but probably not as outrageous as here. Also the fact that compared to the area I live, shopping is endless. Stores down the street not hours away. All sorts of restaurants, not just McDonald. So many opportunities for furthering education. There's just so much more to do and experience. However I absolutely love NY. I'm from the Adirondacks so I am used to lakes all around, our mountains, picturesque falls, ice palaces and snow covered pine trees in the winter and, wildlife everywhere you look. I'm not familiar with northern Utah's landscapes other than high mountain ranges. I feel like there are less tress since its far more populated. Less places to just go on a walk to just get away and clear your mind.But like I said, I don't know really anything about Utah.
